Over the last couple of months I’ve been looking at the different lolita brand every day to look for new updates, news and so on. And I always love when they put up new stuff on their different shops. Lately Baby has started to sort of go back to Old School Lolita. They’ve started selling a lot of black and white stuff with a very down to earth tone. I was lucky to see that they are now selling a wonderful O.S (old school) JSK WITH a headbow for ¥7,350 (479Dkk, €64,28 and $90,82) which I find very cheap for at set AND it’s a brand name. I don’t know about the shipping yet since I’ve never tried ordering from a brand site, so I have no idea of what the shipping cost is right now. I’m trying to save a little money for this JSK set and hopefully I’ll get it VERY soon. And this will be my VERY first brand new brand dress, which I can actually fit for once!
While we are on the subject of Baby, they have also released a new print called Chained berry memoir and consist of an adorable and very nice looking cherry print. As mention before Baby has surely started making it a wonderful option to choose from several different colors from their dress and this is indeed one of them. The dress can be found in up to 5 different colors. I find the Milky Tea color appealing to my taste but I will however say that I find that the black version tends to be a little off whilst the red, blue and pink is just classic baby. It also comes in to different varieties both are JSKs. One is with and adorable little lace collar and the other is just an ordinary JSK design with shoulder straps and both can be found with the 5 different color choices.
As most of us know Meta released their sailor collection along with this new dress. The Dobby striped with long sleeves. I do like this dress for its simpelness and very elegant siluette. And Meta is sort of a gamble in what they create. It’s either a hit or a miss and this is defiantly a hit. The dress is very elegant and adult for Lolita so it would do nicely for a classic and gothic Lolita but again It has that long button row in front. Some of my readers know I can’t stand that in a dress but it’s different with this one. On this dress it’s not as eye catching as one of the other dress I review for you and it looks sort of nice on this one. I guess its because the dress is a solid colored one which makes the button row something I could live with, were I ever to by this.
Moving on to Innocent World, what? You thought you wouldn’t hear about it anymore? Well fooled you didn’t I. I.W made a chocking choice in my world and made a very different dress from what they normally do. They made a very Victorian inspired dress. I mean VERY Victorian inspired dress and the dress is funny enough called Victorica Dress. It’s almost sold out and the dress is not what I would have imagined I.W to make. I would have seen it more as a Meta dress, which tends to expanded over a vast variety of j-fashion genres, instead of I.W who mainly focus on classic. The dress tends to remind me of Babys upcoming fashion which tends to lean towards a very Hime like look in their dresses clearly does the same. It has the princess sleeves and the very rococo looking siluette and just in general reminds me a lot of a princess dress. I find it somewhat weird that they suddenly decided to make this very covered dress when you think of that summer is just around the corner, compared to what they were releasing earlier these months. Don’t get me wrong the dress is absolutely stunning but it’s just somehow not I.W. It comes I three colors with detachable sleeves and matching socks, bonnet and shoes for this particular dress. I would recommend you take a look at their website for further information about the dress, and I would suggest you buy it quickly since most of them are already bought.
